Connect a Meta ad account
Share an organization-owned Meta ad account with the partner and verify its Laney status.
Connect an organization-owned Meta ad account to let Laney operate campaigns inside that account. The organization keeps account ownership.
Before you begin
- A Meta Business Portfolio must own the ad account.
- You need administrator access to that Business Portfolio.
- Confirm the Laney organization or branch for this connection.
Create an ad account first under Accounts, Ad accounts in Meta Business Settings when none exists.
Share the ad account
- Open Users, Partners in Meta Business Settings.
- Select Add. Select the option that gives a partner access to assets.
- Enter
397982957769007as the partner Business Portfolio ID. - Select Ad accounts as the asset type.
- Select the ad account owned by the organization.
- Enable Manage ad account and save.
Share the ad account, not the Page
A Facebook Page and ad account can have the same name. Page access does not permit campaign management. View or analysis access does not permit campaign creation.
Enter the account in Laney
- Open Accounts, Ad accounts in Meta Business Settings.
- Copy the ad account ID below its name. It has a format such as
act_1234567890. - Open Integrations in the Laney dashboard. Create the Meta Ads item.
- Confirm the current organization. Enter the ad account ID.
- Save the item. Check the connection status.
The dashboard can show Pending immediately after save. It changes to Linked after external resources are verified. If it changes to Error, check the ad account and management access.
Check the result
- The organization's ad account appears in the partner assets in Meta Business Settings.
- The partner has ad account management access.
- The Laney integration shows Linked.
- A test campaign or event appears in the correct ad account.
Remove access
Review active campaigns and event delivery in Laney first. Then remove the partner's ad account access under Users, Partners in Meta Business Settings.
Eligibility for conversion-event optimization can change by account and Meta policy. Use the current guidance shown in Ads Manager for the connected account.
