This tutorial explains the scope and checks for a first setup. Use only synthetic data until you are ready to publish the result to customers.

Business value of this preparation

Enabling every feature at once makes failures harder to isolate. Define the organization scope and success measures first. Then verify one feature before expanding the journey. This order also reduces the risk of changing another branch or contacting a real customer.

The first goal is one verified customer journey, not a feature count. For example, complete one path from an inquiry to a confirmed reservation. Then verify the customer and reservation organization.

Example operating goals

Example A: A clinic with consultation reservations starts with one web chat, one secure form, and one branch schedule. Success means that the inquiry, answers, and reservation connect to one synthetic customer.

Example B: A studio selling products creates one active product and one test promotion. Success means that an operator can explain the price before and after the promotion. The operator can also find the pending payment.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to the dashboard as an organization administrator.
  • Choose the organization or branch that you will configure.
  • Choose one person who will review the test result.

Confirm the organization and branch first

The selected organization controls customers, reservations, channels, websites, and automations. Confirm the selected branch before saving any setting.

Confirm the organization scope

Check the current organization or branch in the navigation. Use a test organization for the first configuration when one is available.

Select the first task

Use Connect a channel account for customer questions. Use Create a reservation form to collect information. Before offering reservations, use Set business hours. For a public page, use Configure and publish a website.

Test one path from start to finish

Save the setting, then inspect the customer view, conversation, or run record. Use synthetic names, phone numbers, and other personal information.

Review the result with an operator

Confirm that only the expected data was saved. Confirm that data from another organization or branch is not visible.

Confirm the result

  • You can identify the current organization and branch.
  • You selected the scope for the first test.
  • You completed one path with synthetic data.
  • An owner is ready to complete the pre-launch checklist.
  • You defined at least one measure for the first journey.

Next step

Use the pre-launch checklist to check mobile layout, permissions, saved data, and recovery steps.
