Find and edit records
Use views, sorting, filters, columns, and the detail pane to manage dashboard records.
Scenario and success criteria
Example: An operator reviews unattended consultations each morning. Create a view that keeps open conversations with old activity. Put customer, handling mode, last activity, and branch in one view. Open the detail panel for context. Edit only the required records.
After completion, review the remaining unattended count, time to find a record, and edits made in the wrong organization. Use a shared view to divide work with one standard. Use a personal view to set an individual review order.
Before you start
- Confirm the organization or branch for this task.
- Confirm that your role grants view or edit access to the feature.
Select a data view
Open a feature from the sidebar. When a view selector appears, select a list, group, or calendar for your task.
Narrow the records
Select a sort direction from a column heading. Add a filter, then enter its condition and value. Multiple filters show records that match every condition.
Arrange the columns
Use the column menu to hide unused columns and show required columns. Drag headings to reorder columns. Drag a column edge to resize it.
Edit an existing record
Select a row to open its detail pane. Changes to existing records save automatically. Wait for the save indicator, then confirm the list value.
Add a new record
Select Add, then enter every required value. New records do not save automatically. Submit the record, then find its new row.
File and image fields accept uploads. Long description fields can support formatted content. Check related records before deletion because deletion cannot be undone.
Check the result
- The view shows records from the current organization only.
- Sorting, filters, and columns match the task.
- The detail pane and list show the same edited value.
- A new record appears in the list after submission.
