Operate products and promotions
Publish products and bundles, then verify promotion rules and payment results.
Scenario and success criteria
Example: A studio sells a first-visit product and a three-visit bundle. Confirm list price, currency, and tax display first. Review bundle items and quantities. Create a promotion with a period and use limit. Test the normal price, discount, ineligible condition, and price after expiry with a test customer.
Review views and purchases by product, promotion use, payment failures, refunds, and price questions. Keep the product state in Laney separate from the result reported by the payment provider.
Before you start
- Confirm the product currency, list price, and tax treatment.
- Define the promotion audience, dates, usage limit, and stacking policy.
Create a draft product
Open Products, then enter the type, name, price, and currency. Select monthly or yearly for a recurring product. Enter current inventory when you track stock.
Review customer content and components
Connect any required customer content. For a bundle, add component products, quantities, and order. Review every component and displayed price, then select Active.
Configure the promotion benefit
Select the benefit and eligible product types. Enter dates, code, usage limit, and conditions. For recurring products, confirm the number of discounted starting months.
Set scope and stacking
Select the whole organization or specific content. Enable stacking when another benefit can apply. Select Active after completing the setup.
Test representative prices
Test dates before, during, and after the promotion. Include the desired visit date when it affects eligibility. Verify the official name, benefits, and final amount.
Record the payment result
Connect the customer, product, quantity, and amount. Select Completed only after confirming collection. Select Voided for a cancelled or unusable payment.
Check the result
- Customers see active products only.
- Bundle component quantities match the displayed price.
- The promotion applies only for its dates, audience, and usage conditions.
- A completed payment matches the collected amount and currency.
