This tutorial creates 30-minute booking suggestions from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday through Friday.

Scenario and measures

Example: A branch accepts weekday consultations in 30-minute intervals. Separate actual operating hours from the interval shown to customers. Use a closure rule for lunch or a staff absence instead of splitting hours into many small rules. After publication, review offered times, booking exits with no time, and changes requested after confirmation.

Before you begin

  • Select the organization or branch that owns the rule.
  • Confirm the actual operating weekdays and times.
  • Select the booking interval that customers will see.

Create an availability rule

Open Availability rules in the dashboard. Create an item. Select business hours as the rule kind.

Enter the operating weekdays

Enter mon, tue, wed, thu, fri for weekdays. Leave the value empty to use the same window every day.

Enter the start and end times

Enter 09:00 as the start and 18:00 as the end. The end is the window boundary, not the start time of the final booking.

Enter the booking interval

Enter 30 for the interval. The time picker creates candidates every 30 minutes from the start time.

Save and check the customer screen

Save the rule. Open the booking form. Select a weekday and weekend date. Compare the displayed times.

Confirm the result

  • Weekdays show 30-minute times from 09:00 until before 18:00.
  • This rule does not create weekend times.
  • Past times and times blocked by another rule are disabled.
  • The customer screen and administrator calendar show the same state.

Use Manage closures and capacity to close a specific date.
